Sony’s Yoshida was asked about a number of things during E3 that was overshadowed due to everything else going on in the news at the time. One of the more interesting points brought up was in reference to promised features that were announced in February for the PS4, that have so far remained elusive on the console. Yoshida also commented on the lack of AAA games coming to the PS4 this fall.
A few other PS4 odds and ends: During our conversation about PS4, Yoshida also talked about the relative lack of big Sony-published games slated for Sony’s console this fall. Driveclub and LittleBigPlanet 3 are coming, and an even-more-HD edition of the acclaimed The Last of Us will be out by then, but that’s not exactly a full line-up of blockbuster, so-called AAA games.
YOSHIDA RESPONDS:
“We’ve been saying that the number of AAAs might be getting smaller because the cost of development for AAAs is getting higher,” he said. “But there are so many indie games and great games coming out almost every week or every other week. We’re seeing it on PS4. I hope you’re seeing it as well.” ~Yoshida
