Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist (Gameplay Review – Campaign / Multiplayer) I would like to thank G2PO.com & GamersGate.com for this review copy of the game.

I’m a complete sucker for stealth games. Sure, I love mowing down waves of enemies just as much as the next guy. But when developers give me an option to go full out assault, or complete stealth – that is my favorite type of campaign.

So naturally, I’ve been following Splinter Cell Blacklist since it was first announced. This is my video review of the gameplay. I cover single & multiplayer elements. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching!

A Review of Payday 2 for PC / Xbox 360 / PS3. This is also a beginners guide to how the game works.

PAYDAY 2 is a game by Overkill Software, and the sequel to PAYDAY: The Heist. It was released on August 13, 2013, for the PC and the PlayStation 3 digitally and at retail, and was released on August 16 on the Xbox 360

The game features 11 heists, some take place over multiple days and locations, and are constantly changing due to the new Crime Net system. The skill tree system featured in the original PAYDAY has been more fleshed out, and has been compared more to an RPG-like levelling system, with new classes: the Enforcer can carry heavier weapons and equipment, the Mastermind can negotiate and intimidate cops to make them friendly, the Ghost is a master of stealth and can disable security systems, and the Technician class, a master of explosives, returns from the Wolf Pack DLC.

Similar to the original PAYDAY, heists have many dynamic events. For example: guards may be placed in different areas, safes and vaults may be in different locations, and the amount of cash and loot may be different. Some heists, such as Bank Heist , have multiple versions for the end goal, ie: cash, gold, deposit boxes.

Payday 2 follows a four member crew, similar to the first game, but these are not all the same characters as in the original Payday. Dallas, Hoxton, and Chains from the first game have moved on from their criminal activities, and have been replaced with new characters, while Bain and Wolf return.

Features
*Four-player co-op.
*Crime.net — The dynamic contract database allows the player to pick and choose from available jobs by connecting with local contacts such as Vlad the Ukrainian, shady politician “The Elephant”, and South American drug trafficker Hector.
*New gunplay and mechanics.
*Dynamic scenarios — Each heist has random geometry, and sometimes rare events.
*Skill selection — As players progress, they can invest in any of four special skill trees: the Mastermind, the Enforcer, the Ghost and the Technician. Each features a customization tree of associated skills and equipment to unlock, and they can be mixed and matched to suit the player’s style.
*New mask system — Players have the ability to craft their own unique mask together with a pattern and a color combination.
*New weapons, including sniper rifles, assault rifles, compact PDWs and SMGs.
*Weapon modifications — Optics, suppressors, fore grips, reticles, barrels, frames, and stocks affect the performance of your weapon. There are also purely aesthetic enhancements.
*Dynamic heist progression — Each job allows for multiple approaches, such as slow and stealthy ambushes, to running in guns blazing. Hit the target any way you want, and watch as the heist unfolds accordingly. Days are also added, meaning one heist could take the course of 1-7 days.

Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall Review

Dishonored is not known for its length as much as its gameplay, which makes the newest DLC, The Knife of Dunwall, a welcome addition to an otherwise short experience. Not only does it add a few more levels to the game, but lets players take the role of Daud, leader of the group of assassins who go after Corvo, who is seeking redemption for what he has done to the Empress.

The DLC gives us 3 main levels; a revisiting of one we’ve been to already (the Flooded District) and new ones, the Legal District and Rothwild Slaughterhouse. There’s a little bit of disappointment in not all three being original, but the revisiting to the Flooded District is still fun enough to let it pass.

Daud has much of the same special abilities given to him by the Outsider, with a couple of new ones, like the ability to summon an Assassin to assist him in battle (feeling much like Assassin’s Creed 2). Others are variations from what Corvo had, like Blink which when used standing still, stops time. It’s not enough to make much of an impression; but really, this DLC isn’t for those looking for drastically new gameplay. Those who love the main story and gameplay of Dishonored will get exactly more of that and likely won’t be disappointed. What is nice about the recurrence of old abilities is that Blink was fine tuned and is much more fun to play with, without the control issues that the main game had.

On top of this, the back story of Daud, without giving anything away, is really intriguing. If you are a person who loved the city of Dunwall and the details to go with it, this will definitely entice you to explore it further. And for $10 for the DLC, it really is a great price point, considered what you are given. Do expect to have to purchase the follow-up DLC if you want to complete Daud’s story, as it is clearly left unfinished in the wake of the upcoming release, The Brigmore Witches. If you haven’t tired of Dishonored yet, then for the price, it’s worth it, despite minor drawbacks.

To learn how to get through the DLC and the rest of the game undetected, you can check out The Red Dragon Dishonored Clean Hands Walkthrough on Youtube of every level.

This is my review of Tomb Raider 2013 the video game. I examine the single player campaign, and the multiplayer game modes.

Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game. Published by Square Enix, Tomb Raider is the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider franchise. As the first entry in a new Tomb Raider continuity, the game is a reboot that emphasises the reconstructed origins of the culturally influential lead character Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider was released on 5 March 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

After the release of Tomb Raider: Underworld in 2008, Crystal Dynamics began development of Tomb Raider soon after. Rather than a sequel, the team decided to completely reboot the series, establishing the origins of Lara Croft for the second time, following Tomb Raider: Legend. Tomb Raider is set on Yamatai, an island from which Lara Croft must save her friends and escape, while being hunted down by a malevolent cult. Gameplay elements focus more on survival, although exploration is used within the game when exploring the island and various optional tombs. It is also the first game in the series to have multiplayer and the first game to be published by Square Enix, after the latter’s acquisition of Eidos Interactive in 2009. Camilla Luddington was announced to voice and perform as Lara Croft in 2010, replacing Keeley Hawes.

After a delayed release from late 2012 to March 2013, the game received much anticipation and hype. Tomb Raider received much acclaim from critics, who praised the graphics, the gameplay, Lara’s characterization and development with many critics agreeing that the game is a solid and much needed reboot of the franchise. Much criticism went to the addition of the multiplayer which many felt was unnecessary. Tomb Raider went on to sell one million copies in forty-eight hours of its release, and has sold 3.4 million copies worldwide as of March 26.~ Wikipedia

Far Cry 3 is an open world role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft. It also features role-playing game elements including experience points, skill trees, and a crafting system. The player has the ability to take cover behind objects to break enemies lines of sight and also to peek around and over cover and blindfire. The player also has the ability to perform silent “takedowns” by performing melee attacks from above, below, or close behind. The game’s narrative director, Jason Vandenberghe, said that the story mode map is around ten times larger than in the game’s previous installments, indicating that it is still an open world sandbox game. Players are given the ability to survey and plan out their attacks with stealth takedown combinations and also tag enemies with your camera in order to track their movement once they break the player’s line of sight.
